- Tecnotabla and Casa de las Lomas have announced their latest collaboration with Comité de Proyectos, Juskani Alonso, Andrés Gutiérrez, Studio Bermúdez and Casa Quieta and the pieces in this collection promise to be ideal for dividing or integrating spaces.
October 21, 2021.- The interest in supporting Mexican design resulted in the collaboration of Casa de las Lomas with Tecnotabla and the most outstanding young designers in the country to create 5 collections of residential furniture that materialize the concept of modularity.
Vértice is the collection designed by Comité de Proyectos, Juskani Alonso, Andrés Gutiérrez, Studio Bermúdez and Casa Quieta, aimed at creating functional spaces that reflect good taste and the sensation of “made-to-measure”, composed of modular systems that, by adding the same or different modules, offer the possibility of expanding the functions of a piece of furniture, as well as dividing or integrating spaces.
Quiet House
Taking inspiration from the modular systems of traditional Japanese architecture and modern furniture made in Mexico during the 20th century, whose purpose was to create divisions between rooms, Casa Quieta created a collection of pieces dedicated to the division and integration of spaces.
Through a single module, different horizontal and vertical configurations can be created that can be repeated, rotated and complemented with interchangeable accessories that can include drawers and doors.
Andrés Gutiérrez
Basic furniture for the home with a modular system that is easy to adapt to any space is what Andrés Gutiérrez offers with his Los Monstruos collection. A proposal made up of vertical towers and shelves designed in the Memphis style of the 1980s with contemporary touches that can be adapted to the needs of the user and the space.
Studio Bermudez
Elegant, timeless and versatile, this is Sake, the collection designed by Studio Bermudez that is made up of several metal structures inspired by Brutalist architecture, which enhance the drawers and shelves of the furniture. Sake is also characterized by the versatility of its drawer units, which can be placed throughout the metal structure, thanks to a small cutout in them, allowing the client to get involved in the arrangement of the collection.
Juskani Alonso
Balance, a collection designed by Juskani Alonso, focuses on solving the needs of the bedroom, through a proposal of furniture with sufficient storage capacity, but with a defined style, thanks to the contrast of melamine with ash wood; a balance that offers warmth and an approach to nature. In addition, Balance is designed for the Mexican market, offering furniture at the scale of the spaces and with a trendy aesthetic line.
Projects Committee
With the objective of creating a home office space that invites you to focus for a while, Comité de Proyectos developed a specific modular system for the work area that easily integrates into the home. The design of this furniture is characterized by offering light pieces with distinctive details, where the elements have clean and geometric shapes with some curves and contrasts of color or texture.
For this collection, Casa de las Lomas chose three Tecnotabla designs that meet the design and trend needs of the market. Encino Noche, which is a dark wood whose origins remind us of the Japanese technique used to preserve wood outdoors. When burned, it not only performed better outdoors, but it takes on an elegant black color that set the trend and gives spaces a touch of sophistication. Black Carrara, a marble highly appreciated worldwide, which gives us the appearance of natural stone with the advantages of a melamine board, bringing distinction to the spaces. And Gris Meteoro, a solid that adds dynamism and makes perfect harmony with the other designs in the palette.
With this collection, the designers seek to make reference to the period of darkness we are going through, understanding darkness as an opportunity to disconnect and shadows as a sign of hope.
